Introductions - attendance:

Treasurers Report-Donna Gomes: November & December expenses and Credits:

Question for Principal:

1. Can we have Ornament night on a Saturday for December 2017?
2. Is there an additional expense for a Saturday event?
3. Can both the vendors be on the same day or possibly considering two separate events?

Sunshine fund - Donna & Mrs. Taylor:
• Edible arrangement is being sent to a terminal ill parent.


Spirits Sticks
• A new spirit stick will be purchased "Happy Friends" for purchase at the school store very shortly.
• A Face Book posting will be posted to take votes from viewers for three different selections for purchase for the store.


Food Bank - Maria Savage:
• September - 1 basket value of $50.00
• October - 13 boxes of groceries value $325.00
• November's - Human Chain
o 14 boxes and 25 bags value $600.00
o Collection went extremely well. Good rapport was received from the community, children & parents. We collected enough to feed 25 families.
• December- Grand total raised $975.00
• Ornament night - collection less than one box of food.


School Library-Julie:
• Library currently has a fund value of $1,700.00 to spend.


Box Tops - Heisi:
• This school year goal $ 1,500.00
• November Collection:
o Box Top: 1,995
o Project A+: $1.20
o Labels for Education: 58 points
• December total as of Dec 19th
o Box Top: 10,010 labels = $1,010.00
o Project A+ : $114.48
o Labels for Education: 157 points
• Next Collection scheduled for January 27th


Shoe Donation - Heisi:
• Mrs. Taylor/Mrs. Rolla & Heisi: Will advise by next PTO meeting with full details on collection.

School Store - Heisi:
The school store will open 2 x a month on Mondays schedule is as follows:

• Location: Cafeteria | Hours: 8:40 am to 9:00 am | All items on sale will be less than a $1.00
• Schedule Monday's for 2017:
o January 9th & 23rd | February 6th & 13th | March 6th & 20th | April 3rd & 24th | May 8th & 22nd

Holiday Fair Ornament Night - Board:
• Was not very successful in attendance we prepared & anticipated a higher attendance.
• Raffles & School store - profit sales $185.00
• Ten Vendors attended - profit sales for tables $105.00

 

UPCOMING-EVENTS:

January:

Fundraiser - Cristoline-Julie:

• Date: January 6th | Theme: Gourmet Soup & Cookie Dough | Flyers will go out 5th | Drop off deadline 23rd | Pick up Feb. 24th from 3:30 - 6:30 pm by the cafeteria corridor.


School Spirit day - PJ Day & Food Bank Drive - MS:

• Date: Friday-January 20th | Theme: Healthy living | collecting toothpaste, toothbrushes and mouthwash | Flyers will go out Friday the 6th & 13th | reminders will be posted on FB website as well as email to all parents.


February:

Fundraiser - Paint Night-Donna:
• Location: Brush Strokes in town | Adults only | Date: January 23rd | Cost $ 40.00 p.p. | Profit $ 15.00 | Money is due Jan. 23rd.


Bingo Night-Julie:
• Date: Friday-February 24th | Theme: Family | Time: tbd | Being offered raffles, snacks, and prizes
• All board members must attend and need volunteers.


PJ Day & Food Bank Drive-MS:
• Date: Friday-February 24th | Theme: One Can You Can share the Love-Soup cans collection


March:

Book Fair: Wed - Friday March 22nd, 23rd & 24th
• Location: 2nd floor corridor |
• 4 sessions - Times: 9:00am - 2:00 & 4:30pm - 7:00 pm
• 2 days only Wednesday-22nd & Thursday -23rd NO sales on Friday 24th
• All board members will take a turn, a schedule will be provided and we will need volunteers.
• All PTO board positions will be voted on fir next school year 2017-2018. Please contact us if you wish to be a part of the board next year.


April:

School is closed Monday - Friday 10-14th

Fundraiser - Yankee Candle & Mother's day Flowers-Julie:
• Flyers, emails to parents, & FB announcements will be sent out | Drop off deadline TBD | Pick up will be scheduled in May TBD
• Pick up will be scheduled available from 3:30 - 6:30 pm by the cafeteria corridor.


Spring Dance - Julie:
• Date: TBD


May:

4th grade picnic - Julie & Donna:
• Details are being worked on.


Fundraiser - Yankee Candle & Mother's day Flowers-Julie:
• Pick up 24th from 3:30-6:30 pm by the cafeteria corridor.

Please join us for our monthly PTO meeting. The monthly meetings are to discuss our upcoming events; Principal Gives a report and a teacher representative is also present. Please consider coming to show your support and share your ideas with the group.
